Concert Band

The KHS Concert Band is open to all who have learned to play an instrument. The ensemble focuses on enforcing the fundamentals of playing while challenging the students in the selection of exciting and new music. The goal is to develop well rounded musicians who are resourceful, enjoy the learning process, and to take pride in their work all while providing a welcoming and healthy environment.

Wind Ensemble

The KHS Wind Ensemble is the honors-leveled ensemble focusing on developing a higher level of musicianship. This group rehearses at the same time as Concert Band, but the members are given the chance to perform additional music that will challenge their playing and musicality skills. In addition to additional music, these students have the chance to become leaders in the music community at KHS by auditioning for the position of section leader. Just like Concert Band, the goal is to develop well rounded musicians who are resourceful, enjoy the learning process, and to take pride in their work all while providing a welcoming and healthy environment.

Jazz Band

Jazz Band is an after school club open to anyone who can sing play an instrument! We are happy to have anyone and everyone join with any instrument. This is a fast paced group where we jam, learn how to solo, and develop new musical skills. Throughout the year, the ensemble performs in concerts and competes in festivals around the state. Meetings are on Tuesdays after school.
